Call it what you want — I photograph people doing things.

I was raised in Great Yarmouth, a cheerful if sometimes troubled holiday town on the Norfolk coast. I spent my youth beneath the bright bulbs of the seaside arcades, and my adolescence in the crumbling corridors of an ancient circus.

The spectacle and the shabby have remained a part of me and my work. My early career was all travel editorial and documentary. Now my aim is simply to always produce pictures that are cinematic, insightful and aspirational but also honest and, ultimately, serve to tell a story.
